Pergolas

Over the last few years, the popularity of garden pergolas and gazebos has been on a steady incline and we can understand why. Both structures come in all shapes and sizes and provide excellent shelter from the elements as well as creating a striking feature in a landscaped garden. 

What’s the difference between a garden pergola and a gazebo?

The main difference between these two structures is the roof. A garden pergola has a flat slatted roof which can open and close to allow sunlight through whilst a gazebo provides full coverage.

Garden pergolas and gazebos – styles to fit every need

Wooden pergolas can be attached to a house or installed freestanding and can look stunning as an open structure; especially when climbers, like Jasmines grow and begin tumbling over the top. This can have the added benefit of giving further shade against the sun’s rays and emit delightful scents when your Jasmine is in bloom.

Metal pergolas have come on leaps and bounds recently with louvered roofs, which can be manual or electric, as well having pull down sides. Choosing to install LED lighting and heaters in and around your pergola means that you can continue entertaining and enjoying the outdoors long after the sun has gone down.
