In house garden design

The brief on this project was to create a great garden design that included an entertaining space to compliment the swimming pool which was already under construction.

The garden design was to include lots of lounging areas so that all aspects of the landscaping could be savoured. By the swimming pool we created a section for sunbathing and by the pond we installed decking so that chairs could be added and this view taken in at leisure.

Also included within the garden design was a covered area with an outdoor kitchen. In order to screen the sheds and pump room (from the pool) we installed a feature screen wall with planting.

The porcelain paving, from Cranbourne Stone, worked really well with the colour choice of the composite decking from Millboard. We didn’t want any level changes from the pool to the property, however, our client wanted to use the two materials. We laid the porcelain and decking alongside each other to create the level threshold and the result was absolutely fabulous.

On the lower section we created a composite bench for additional seating with paddlestones, within gabions, which created a brilliant feature wall. Behind this we fitted a large metal pergola with a kitchen by Novara which is from Spain.

The planting on this project was simple and low maintenance with plenty of evergreen to provide all year-round colour.

The lighting design and installation looks stunning after the sun goes down which enables our client to use the garden whatever time of day.
