Witham, Essex, £29k
We love a new build design and this garden transformation was no exception. Our clients were a dream to work with and allowed us to design them a garden that perfectly fitted their needs.
Main features:
- Porcelain paving
- Timber pergola
- Turf
- Lighting
- Planting
Our clients hadn’t long moved in when they contacted us to transform their garden. The paving was the normal cheap concrete slabs that new builds usually have and the heavy clay turf and builders rubble was not enabling the grass to thrive and was uneven.
We designed two seating areas, the first outside the patio doors and another underneath a timber pergola that looks back towards the house. Both areas are surrounding by planting borders with beautiful colourful perennials such as Rudbeckia, Echinacea, Salvia, Crocosmia and Penstemon.
The paving choice was Golden Stone Porcelain from London Stone which comes in various sizes but we chose 1200x400mm for a more modern look. The timber pergola from Dunster House is set off perfectly against the stone and Warren (our head of Garden Lighting Design and Electrics) added festoon lighting which looks stunning at night.
Our clients wanted a feature in the far corner which doesn’t get much sun so Sharon designed sleeper uprights with a water feature in front which has shade loving plants such as Hostas and Ferns planted around it.
