Witham, Essex, £65k plus
Creating a garden design and landscaping for this garden was one of our all-time favourites. The only requirement of the client was to still have her washing line somewhere but apart from that we had free reign on the garden design and build.
Main features:
- Raised borders
- Cladding and coping
- Split faced tiles
- Natural stone paving
- Irrigation system
- Fencing
- Planting
- Lighting
- Turf
We wanted the garden to be relatively low maintenance so that Marion was able to tend to her plants. For the landscaping, we included a mixture of materials from London Stone and created two seating areas, raised borders, cladded in split faced tiles and copings.
We built the garden at a 45-degree angle, in order to take the view away from a telegraph pole located on the right-hand side of the garden.
The beautiful brick wall, which was originally covered, was exposed and re-pointed. An existing Wisteria was also pruned and tied back in. To capture and reflect the light and planting, we hung two large mirrors on the walls.
Gravel and stepping stones were added to make it easy to navigate on hard standing throughout the garden.
The beautiful planting scheme, gives all year-round interest and an irrigation system was added to ensure that everything is kept well-watered.
Client feedback:
