Our client contacted us to make her garden more accessible and create a journey around it to access all the planting borders. She loves her plants and so the planting plan on this design was as important as the landscape design.

The final design included a new paving area using a project pack natural stone from London Stone. Although her previous paving wasn’t laid that long ago it was poorly constructed so it decided that it would be replaced.

The majority of the garden was built with oak sleepers but to obtain the curves we used them on the upright and not straight which looks fantastic. Bricks were used for the walls in her previous garden design so this option was more unique and cost effective. We used resin for the pathway which is porous and really low maintenance.

There are three main seating areas in the garden, the first is the main patio, the second is on the right with a bench that gets the late afternoon sun and the third a bench which that was built from oak sleepers and will give another perspective of the garden.

As previously mentioned above the planting was really important on this project and our client already had lots of beautiful perennials in her borders so these were lifted and re-positioned within the new design. In addition, hundreds of new plants were planted and this garden will look beautiful in the Summer.

Lighting was added to the remaining trees and new trees together with some of the larger shrubs within the borders in the lawn so that the garden can be enjoyed long after dark.
